Catalpa Health adds four providers

(Appleton, Wis. – July 18, 2014) – Catalpa Health recently hired four providers including an intake specialist and three mental health therapists. Catalpa Health now has a total of 33 providers on staff.

Anne Whitney, MS, LPC, joined the Catalpa Health team as an intake specialist. She works with children and teens, ages 18 years old and younger. Whitney has special interest in anxiety, depression, crisis counseling, emotional and behavioral issues and low self-esteem. She received her bachelor’s degree in broad field social sciences and her master’s degree in counseling. Whitney works out of the Access Center in Appleton.

Jennifer Bushman, MSW, LCSW, is a mental health therapist who specializes in treating those with anxiety, depression, issues from divorce, bullying, low self-esteem, trauma, anger, behavioral problems, grief/loss and ADHD. She sees clients ages eight through 18 years old. Bushman has special interest in helping clients understand the impact and outcomes of trauma and working with children who have autism spectrum disorders. She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and has been a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Wisconsin since 2011. Bushman works out of the Appleton treatment center.

Jennifer Schinkten, MSW, LCSW, is a mental health therapist who specializes in treating those with depression, anxiety/OCD, self-harm issues, autism spectrum disorders and adjustment disorders; as well as those who are victim of physical or sexual abuse. She sees clients ages two through 18 years old. Schinkten has special interest in family dynamics, empowering clients to break the cycle of abuse, decreasing stressors that affect teens and fighting the increase in suicides among youth. She received her master’s degree in social work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee and earned her undergraduate degree in criminal justice from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. Schinkten works out of the Oshkosh treatment center.

Kim Charniak, MSW, LCSW, is a mental health therapist who specializes in treating those with ADHD, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, tendencies to self-harm, mood disorders and oppositional and defiant behaviors, as well as helping with adolescent life transitions, career planning, social skills and strengthening family relationships. Charniak sees clients ages six to 18 years old. She has special interest in LGBTQ+ related issues. She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh and her Master of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Milwaukee. Charniak works out of the Appleton treatment center.
