Ashley Peterson, LPC
Mental Health Therapist
Ashley Peterson, LPC, is a lead mental health therapist in Catalpa's Intensive Outpatient program. While she has experience with patients from ages 5-18 with anxiety, depression, adjustment, anger issues, and post-traumatic stress disorder, she primarily works with high school-aged students. Ashley has a Master of Special Education degree in Counseling from Concordia University, and also holds a License as a Professional Counselor.
Much of Ashley’s career has been working in intensive therapy settings. She is working on her certification as a Trauma Focused clinician. She feels that kids need a place to be heard. She practices cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy and is solution and family focused.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys exercise, being outdoors and yoga. She likes spending time with family and her dog.
