Mental Health Therapist
Katie (Klinke) De Bruin, LPC, is a lead mental health therapist in Catalpa's Intensive Outpatient Program. While she has experience with patients from ages 4-18 with anxiety, depression, adjustment, anger issues, and grief and loss concerns, she primarily works with middle school-aged students. She is especially interested in engaging families in the counseling process, treating the family as a system, and providing education to clients and families. Katie has a Master of Arts degree in Counseling from Lakeland College, and also holds a Licensed Professional Counselor license.
She believes that everyone embarks on a unique journey through life. She strives to provide guidance and support to young people as they encounter obstacles and hurdles on their life journey. She enjoys seeing improvements and changes throughout treatment, seeing the resilience in children and families, and providing therapy during critical times in kids’ lives, setting them up for future success.
Outside of work, Katie enjoys running, yoga, painting, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.
