Katie Van Groll, MSW, LCSW
Mental Health Therapist
Katie Van Groll, MSW, LCSW is a Catalpa school-based mental health therapist who sees students ages 5-18 in the Oshkosh Area School District and the Berlin School District. She has a particular interest in children involved with the child welfare and/or juvenile justice system, but also works with kids who have a complex trauma history, anxiety, behavioral disorders, mood disorders, emotional regulation struggles, relationship changes, or who are adjusting to foster/adoptive placements.
Katie earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology from Augustana University, Sioux Falls, SD and has a Master’s of Social Work degree from UW-Oshkosh.
She entered this field because she knows children are our future, and she enjoys developing relationships through which they find comfort, safety and support. She wants to help them pursue their possibilities and to be successful. She knows it “takes a village” to raise children, and she is pleased to be one part of that village.
Outside of Catalpa, Katie enjoys martial arts, being with family (especially her two sons), traveling, and reading.
