Mental Health Therapist Post-graduate Trainee
Kristin (Roovers) Dorn, MSW, APSW is a mental health therapist post-graduate trainee working with clients from 3-18 years of age. Kristin treats children with ADHD, adjustment disorders, anxiety, depression, family of origin issues and trauma. She maintains special interest in issues related to attachment, child welfare, out-of-home placements and adoption. Kristin holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Kristin has always been passionate about caring for children. She has worked with children and families in a variety of settings, including child care, public child welfare, private domestic and international adoptions and intensive in-home child and family therapy.
Kristin uses a strengths-based, client-center approach. She strives to promote resiliency and encourages the development of lifelong skills.
With free time, Kristin enjoys traveling, the company of family and her black lab, live music, cooking (but not baking), boating, reading and discovering new hobbies.
