Amanda Prachel, LMFT, is a mental health therapist who specializes in adjustment and family systems issues; depression; anxiety; grief and loss; low self-esteem; and behavioral and anger issues. She sees clients ages five to 18 years old. Amanda has special interest in family systems issues and helping her clients through grief and loss. Her treatment philosophy involves being client-centered and acknowledging the importance of each individual's unique experiences. She focuses on involving the family in treatment and uses the following approaches: cognitive behavioral, family systems, solution-focused and play/art therapy. Amanda is passionate about helping each client gain a sense of empowerment by encouraging them to identify and utilize their strengths to overcome difficult life experiences. Amanda received her Master of Arts in clinical psychology with an emphasis in marriage and family therapy from Pepperdine University. Outside of work she enjoys traveling; going to concerts and listening to live music; running; and spending time with friends and family.
