Lisa Engelhardt APNP
Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber
Lisa M. Engelhardt, APNP is an Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber who works with kids ages 6 to 18 with ADHD, anxiety, depression, autism, OCD and other mental health challenges. She feels that all children deserve treatment, and that, at times, a combination of therapy and medication is the most advantageous.
Lisa first earned a degree in business from Luther College, Decorah, Iowa. As she says, “My mom told me I would be a good nurse, so I went into business!” Soon she “realized that I loved working with people, so I started on my nursing track.” She earned an Associate Degree in Nursing at Rochester Community College, a 4-year degree in nursing from Viterbo College, and eventually an Advanced Practice Degree in Nursing from the University of North Dakota.
With a passion for helping kids get the help they need, she spent 25 years as an inpatient child/adolescent psychiatric nurse at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, Minnesota. After completing her nurse practitioner degree, she decided to work in the outpatient field, and moved to Appleton to join Catalpa Health. She believes all children should be given the right tools for a successful life, and continues to learn from each child that passes through her door.
Outside of work, she enjoys the Minnesota Vikings, photography, knitting, weaving, and hopes to soon learn how to use a spinning wheel.
