Ashley Strunk, CSW, LPC, is a mental health therapist who treats patients ages 5-18 with anxiety, depression, trauma, autism, ADHD, and emotion regulation issues and children who are adjusting to foster and adoptive families. She has a special interest in helping children who are working through previous trauma and children who are currently placed outside of their family homes.
Ashley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Social Work from Marian University and a Master of Arts in Counseling from Lakeland College. She is a certified social worker and is licensed through the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Passionate about working with children, Ashley chose the counseling field to help them be successful in their own lives. She enjoys seeing the resilience of children who are working through challenging situations and seeing them use tools and skills to overcome their own challenges. She typically uses strength-based family- or client-centered play, and cognitive behavioral therapy.
When not at Catalpa, Ashley enjoys baking, crafts, and spending time with family, friends, and her dog, Scooter.
