Carmen Meuret, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed mental health clinician working with clients at Catalpa’s Appleton clinic. She has a specific interest in cultivating self-compassion in children and adolescents, working with the LGBTQ+ population, trauma-informed care, and mood and anxiety disorders. Carmen also specializes in treating anxiety-related disorders, such as Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and specific phobias, and is a part of our STARS specialty clinic. Her approach to treatment is to walk beside each client on their therapeutic journey by empowering them to see their strengths and abilities while working to reach their goals in meaningful ways. Carmen remains an aspiring ally who continues to commit to learning about how all forms of social, economic, and racial injustice impact her work. As an aspiring ally, she is passionate about advocating for all her clients and expanding her knowledge and ability to practice from a lens of cultural humility and equity.
She earned her Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire and obtained her Master of Social Work while attending the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay for her graduate work. Carmen believes that mental health is the foundation for flourishing in your life and strives to help others strengthen their mental health and wellness. She is passionate about this career path from witnessing family members on their own journey with mental health and being able to serve others through her role. Humbled to join clients on their journey, she looks forward to witnessing moments of personal growth with everyone.
Outside of work, Carmen enjoys collecting vinyl records and attending concerts, birdwatching and enjoying nature, playing piano, reading, and spending time with friends and family.

Please be sure you and your parent/guardian are in a CONFIDENTIAL and SEDENTARY SPACE (not in a moving vehicle) prior to joining your therapist’s waiting room. Patients and parents/caregivers MUST be in Wisconsin for the appointment.
