Janelle Jensen, PMHNP-BC, APNP, is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner who specializes in medication management for mental illness in children and adolescents. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from UW-Oshkosh and a Master of Science with an emphasis in Nursing from UW-Madison. She sees clients at the Appleton, and Oshkosh treatment centers ages 5-18.
Janelle decided to enter the psychiatric nursing field after a personal experience with a friend in crisis and pursued her degree to treat children and adolescents to help break the cycle of seeing the same kids coming in and out of the hospital. She delights in seeing the incremental improvements in her patients and the impact that has on their lives and their families.
In addition to her work, Janelle likes to spend time with family and friends, play games, shop, walk, and read.
