Jennifer Vander Wielen, MAC, LPC, is a school-based licensed mental health clinician who works with children ages 5 to 18 in the school setting and treats disorders and symptoms related to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, parent/child conflict, emotional regulation, relationship issues, grief, and loss. She has a special interest in family dynamics, emotional regulation, and safety.
Jennifer feels it is important to meet children and families where they are at to hear their story. Cognitive-behavioral therapy, goal setting and person-centered treatment allows individuals the opportunity to explore their thoughts, emotions and experiences while identifying their personal goals and strengths. Support is given throughout the therapeutic journey to strengthen resilience and growth.
Jennifer received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh and a Master of Arts in Community Counseling from Lakeland College. She is licensed through the state of Wisconsin as a Licensed Professional Counselor.
When Jennifer is not meeting with clients, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and spending time outdoors.
