Michelle Michener, LPC, is a licensed mental health clinician working in the Appleton Area School District. Michelle has a special interest in treating children dealing with trauma, divorce, LGBTQ+ needs and social struggles.
Michelle believes making a genuine connection with the child is the most important part of therapy. She takes the time to get to know the client as a unique individual and build a plan for therapy based on their unique strengths. She uses humor frequently in her sessions.
She received her BA in Psychology from UW-Oshkosh and her MA in Counseling from Lakeland College with a dual emphasis in Community Counseling and School Counseling.
Outside of work, Michelle enjoys reading, music, attending concerts, boating, and spending time with family and pets.

Please be sure you and your parent/guardian are in a CONFIDENTIAL and SEDENTARY SPACE (not in a moving vehicle) prior to joining your therapist’s waiting room. Patients and parents/caregivers MUST be in Wisconsin for the appointment.
